SPOTLIGHT
ADVERTISEMENT: ALSTYLE APPAREL

Remember when the safety green color was a new thing?
Michael was there hyping it up for Alstyle Apparel. Alstyle, an apparel manufacturer selling blank tees (and other stuff) wholesale, was targeting the skate/surf industry with this print advertisement in Bl!sss Magazine.
This was part of a campaign that took the clean-cut Alstyle (now owned by Gildan) and position it for the streetwear scene. Bl!sss is a gritty West Coast publication and the goal was to roll out the new color in a way that better appealed to the industry.
While there was some imposed limit on how grunge we could go, this effort was much closer to relevant than what they had been doing prior (Notice the contrast with the ad right next to the pink hoodie promo in a previous attempt, in the image at left). The campaign was more relevant and more successful, helping increase expected sales for a new product.
See the ad in the magazine on page 23.
